The Foundation hosts an annual Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases Education Day in beautiful Newport Beach, California.
Each year 10-12 new primary immunodeficiency diseases (PID) are discovered. Currently, there are 557 different primary immunodeficiencies (Inborn Errors of Immunity) and more than 413 disease causing genes. Each year new information about their clinical presentations, complications, and treatments becomes available.
This program is organized by a charitable organization, the Foundation for Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases. You and your spouse (or caretaker), parents of children with PID are invited to attend. Registration is complimentary and include breakfast, lunch, and valet parking.
Our expert speakers will dive deep into the workings of the immune system, highlight the clinical features and complications of various primary immunodeficiencies, and explore treatment options such as immunoglobulin therapy, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and cutting-edge gene therapies. With more than two hours dedicated to Q&A, you’ll have ample opportunity to engage and get your questions answered by top professionals in the field.
