Currently, there are more than 460 primary immunodeficiency diseases and more than 400 disease causing genes. There have been recent advances in human immunology and in IEI. However, there are challenges in IEI ranging from interpretations of genetic variants to global access to care for IEI and challenges in HSCT and availability of gene therapy for IEI.  Leading experts from all over the globe will be discussing these areas at the 19th International Symposium on IEI to be held on the November 8th-9th, 2024 at VEA Newport Beach, Newport Beach, California.

Currently, there are 557 known PIDs—also referred to as Inborn Errors of Immunity—and over 413 associated disease-causing genes. Every year, exciting new insights into their clinical presentations, complications, and treatment options emerge.

Our expert speakers will dive deep into the workings of the immune system, highlight the clinical features and complications of various primary immunodeficiencies, and explore treatment options such as immunoglobulin therapy, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and cutting-edge gene therapies.
